About Gonter

Materials

GONTER selects its materials based on the quality, beauty, strength and malleability of the leather.

Among the materials used we find skins suitable for the characteristics mentioned, derived from the food industry that are given to tanneries to give them a use and thus avoid waste.

The tanning process chosen in the various cases is semi-chrome, which provides a soft texture and excellent wear resistance. This process is used in the leather industry to turn it into leather.

At GONTER we are committed to optimizing the use of leather as much as possible

and that is why the workshops consist of machinery specialized in clean cuts so as to have maximum benefit. In addition, our future plans include new designs that allow us to use all these remaining pieces of cut leather for the purpose of giving it a new life without losing its qualities.

For all the accessories used, as well as studs, rings, carabiners, etc., GONTER uses baths in aged tones to bring a greater elegance to the designs. These metallic adornments are designed to prevent rusting or wear out over time, thus providing more durability to the bags.

The manufacture of GONTER bags is carried out with Gütermann threads, a German house known for the quality of its products and its experience in the sector.
