Care

At GONTER we are committed to providing durable and resistant products, but to keep them in perfect conditions, we also advise the following:

  • For regular maintenance it is recommended to clean the bag with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. If necessary, you can use a specific cleaner for leather in the case of nappa ; for split leather use a specific one. Apply both with a soft cloth and without rubbing excessively. Avoid products that contain alcohol or abrasive products that can damage the leather.
  • To keep the skin supple and prevent it from drying out, a leather conditioner can be
  • applied from time to time. This helps preserve its texture and maintain the color. Be sure to use products recommended for the type of leather your bag is made of.
  • It is not recommended to leave the leather bag in direct contact with sunlight or near heat sources (such as radiators or heaters). Prolonged exposure can help skin become dehydrated, discolored and cracked.
  • When you are not using your bag, it is advisable to store it in a cool and dry place. To keep its shape, you can fill it with tissue paper or a cloth bag to prevent it from warping. Avoid storing it in plastic bags, as they can generate moisture that damages the skin.
  • The skin is not completely waterproof. If the bag becomes wet, dry it immediately with a soft cloth and let it air out at room temperature, never put near direct heat sources.
